Kristin Fisher is joining CNN in 2021. She'll be CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her position as the Correspondent for Defence and Space at CNN, she is responsible to cover everything ranging from NASA and its recently created Space Force up until commercial space companies, and even the advent and growth of tourism to space. Kristin was born into the space sector as the grandchild and daughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years she's been covering space policy under the Biden and Trump administrations in FOX News. During that time, she also covered impeachment trials for the president, the 2020 presdiential campaign, as well as two administration's efforts to contain the pandemic of coronavirus. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Kristin worked her way through the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for nearly a decade before becoming a part of the network. Kristin was the recipient of an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as an CBS affiliate's single-man reporter. Kristin's expertise as a camerawoman helped her establish Field Mouse Films which specialized in making documentaries for corporate customers such as Uber Hotels & Resorts, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. She is married to her husband in Washington, D.C., and she has a 3 year old daughter.
